QNX-Drivers and API for LON

The standard LonTalk driver interface (open, close, read, write) is implemented as a message passing interface and can be used throughout the QNX network.

PC/104 and ISA LonTalk® MIP-P50 Boards for QNX® 4.25 and QNX® 6.x

The network interface module from VISTA accesses the network in the smallest industrial standard computer format. These interface boards are based on the Neuron Chip 3150 from Echelon which communicate via the MIP-P50-interface with the host CPU employing buffering of network messages by a RAM of 28kB.
Selectable transceiver modules and network topologies allow transfer rates from 10 Kbps up to the maximum rate of 1.25 Mbps. The interface module can be applied to CPU boards with a PC/104 slot or in PC/104 computers.

MIP/DPS board:

PC/104 LonTalk® MIP/DPS Board for QNX® 4.25 and QNX® 6.x

The PC104-LTNI allows a LONWORKS® network to be added to new and existing PC/104™ equipment. Both data and commands are transferred between the host and network interface through interrupt driven I/O. The PC104-LTNI implements the LonTalk® protocol using the Neuron® 3150® Chip and a semaphore-based, high performance MIP-DPS.
